Sentinels have officially signed rising duelist talent Gurjiwan “Jerrwin” Gill ahead of VCT 2026 Americas Stage 1, and completed their revamped VALORANT lineup, while also ending weeks of speculation about a potential return of Tyson “TenZ” Ngo return to the squad.
Sentinels confirmed the move with a short hype video on X, where the duelist says, “What? Were you expecting someone else?” hinting at how the fans were hoping for a TenZ x Sentinels reunion. He ends the video saying, “So stick with me, Sen City, I’m about to make you all believers.”
The signing finalizes the roster around Reduxx, johnqt, cortezia, and JonahP, with Jerrwin stepping into the primary duelist role once held by N4RRATE.
The 22-year-old has been competing in the NA Challengers ecosystem with SaD Esports since April 2025, and now makes the jump to Tier 1 for the first time in his career.
The revamped squad will play their first official match together against KRÜ Esports in the opening match of VCT 2026: Americas Stage 1 on April 10.
From grinding Challengers to playing for one of the most popular Tier 1 teams
Jerrwin has spent nearly three years working his way up through various teams and events, most notably with SaD Esports in VCL North America.
During that time, he picked up experience across several agents but remained committed to the duelist role as an explosive entry player. SaD Esports’ third-place finish at VCL NA Stage 1 2026 gave him a bigger platform, and his performances helped attract interest from Tier 1 organizations.
Now, he joined one of the biggest brands in VALORANT on a roster that has undergone significant changes since the start of the year. With limited Tier 1 stage time under his belt, VCT Americas will be a major test of his skills and whether he can translate his Challengers form into consistent impact against some of the best players in the region.
Rumors of TenZ returning shut down
In the background of this signing has been constant noise around a possible return of TenZ, the former face of both Sentinels and North American VALORANT.
After N4RRATE departed, speculations started that TenZ had been trialing with the team and that a comeback for VCT 2026 was on the table. Sentinels CEO Rob Moore has previously said TenZ would always be welcome back, fueling hopes that the two-time Masters winner could rejoin the lineup.

However, that door appears to have closed for now. With Jerrwin now officially signed through 2028, the team is now clearly committed to building around a younger duelist.
What Jerrwin’s signing means for Sentinels
For Sentinels, the move represents a clear shift toward long-term development, and after recently parting ways with head coach Kaplan, the American org wanted a broader reset.
Bringing in a hungry Tier 2 standout like Jerrwin fits that direction and gives the roster a mechanically gifted duelist with something to prove on the biggest stage.
All eyes will now be on the team’s opening match against KRÜ on April 10, 2026, where we can see the new Sentinels squad competing, hoping for a Masters London slot later this year.
