Sentencing pushed back in $200,000 tax agent fraud case

Kylee Suzanne Pryor.

A Hunter tax agent who pleaded guilty to defrauding a company to the tune of $200,000 will wait another fortnight to learn her fate.

Kylee Suzanne Pryor, of Cameron Park, was due to be sentenced at Toronto Local Court on Tuesday, but the matter was unexpectedly adjourned when the court got word that her solicitor had become stuck at Wyong courthouse dealing with another matter.

The 49-year-old pleaded guilty in May to three counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.

IN THE NEWS:

It came after she avoided a 12-month jail term on appeal last year for defrauding another company - belonging to the same man who owned the business involved in the latest charges - of more than $240,000 between 2011 and 2017.

She is serving an intensive corrections order and performing community service in relation the previous matter.

Magistrate Andrew Eckhold said in court on Tuesday Pryor would need to appear at the next court date and she would have to provide medical evidence for being absent on Tuesday.

Pryor remains on bail and will face court again on June 30.
