After Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters notched what was basically a game-ending interception against the Tennessee Titans in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s Wild Card contest, he and his teammates got a little extra revenge on their foe.
After picking off a Ryan Tannehill pass with under two minutes remaining, the Ravens went on to celebrate the play and their looming victory by congregating on Tennessee’s logo.
Of course, this was payback (if you want to call it that) for the Titans getting together on the Ravens’ logo prior to the Week 11 contest, which led to a pregame spat. I feel silly for even having to explain that.
Clearly, Baltimore took it personally and it has been eating at them ever since, even though that is a normal routine for the Titans and wasn’t something specific to the game versus the Ravens.

For right tackle Dennis Kelly, he was perplexed as to why this was such a big thing for the Ravens, as he noted the Titans gathering on the logo at midfield is something they’ve done all season.

As you’d expect, head coach Mike Vrabel didn’t have much to say about it.

Ravens defensive end Derek Wolfe said it wasn’t about disrespect, but rather “more about team unity.”

Head coach John Harbaugh, who confronted cornerback Malcolm Butler in Week 11 to get the pregame spat going, didn’t address the Ravens’ celebration specifically, but he did say this win over the Titans “may be the best win I’ve ever been associated with.”
Considering this is a man who has won a Super Bowl, clearly the past events with the Titans made him want this game even more.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who ran off the field and didn’t shake hands with the Titans after the game, made it perfectly clear he thought the Week 11 situation was disrespectful, which fueled his quick exit.
Lamar Jackson said he walked off the field at the end of the game and didn't shake hands with the Titans because of what transpired before the last game in November, when the Titans huddled on the Ravens' logo.
Jackson said that was disrespectful.

However, if I’m the Ravens’ future opponent, I’m writing all of this down because clearly it’s very easy to get into this team’s head, if that wasn’t already clear.
