Sensible King & Queen of the Ring Winners For WWE 2K25 Universe Mode

If you’ve been keeping up with WWE programming, you’re well aware that the King & Queen of the Ring tournaments are now underway. In a change of format, WWE has made the first round of the tournament strictly fatal four-way matches, with the winner of each going on to a semifinal before the final itself. Obviously, this format isn’t quite the same in WWE 2K25, which follows last year’s traditional format instead. Regardless, you can still craft a compelling story in Universe Mode that culminates in a winner who will eventually challenge for a world championship.

For simplicity’s sake, and to avoid getting into all of the mumbo jumbo of crafting storylines going into the tournament, we’ll simply go over the winners and what they should do after being crowned King and Queen of the Ring.

Women’s Division: Roxanne Perez Is Ready For The Bright Lights

Having already made an impact on WWE’s main roster since being called up, former 2-time NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez is primed and ready to be pushed as a top heel on Raw. And it looks like WWE might think she’s ready as well, considering she won the first round of the real-life Queen of the Ring tournament.

Perez didn’t get the nickname “The Prodigy” for nothing. Despite being only 23 years old, the rookie Perez is ready to challenge for world championships, especially now that she has Giulia in her corner. My Queen of the Ring booking would go something like this:

  • Have Perez win the Queen of the Ring tournament clean. Even if she’s a heel, she must be presented as a legitimate threat to Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky.
  • Upon challenging for the championship, preserve Iyo’s character by having Giulia interfere on Perez’s behalf. After a lengthy title run, have Giulia beat Perez at the next WrestleMania after winning the Royal Rumble and coming out from under her influence.

Men’s Division: Oba Femi Rules As King

We went over it briefly in our last write-up about NXT star Oba Femi. So it should come as no surprise when I say that there’s only one man who is worthy of the King of the Ring crown, and that is “The Ruler” himself.

As far as I’m concerned, Oba has already accomplished and proven everything he’s had to in NXT. And the time has finally come to not only call him up to the main roster, but strap the rockets onto him and push him to the moon. Here’s how I would go about booking his King of the Ring win:

  • As one would predict, Oba Femi dominates in the King of the Ring tournament. To put a cherry on top, I’d have the finals be a glorified squash match between him and whoever is unfortunate enough to stand across the ring.
  • Unlike Roxanne Perez, you don’t have to have Oba Femi win the title immediately after the King of the Ring tournament. Instead, have your heel champion win dirty over Oba Femi and have the latter chase for a bit. Come SummerSlam or Survivor Series, however, Femi should be ruling the men’s division on whatever brand he’s on.
