Senou Coulibaly on Rangers transfer 'radar' as jet-heeled defender also earns admiring glances from England

Premiership champions Rangers have been linked with a move for Dijon standout Senou Coulibaly.

The 26-year-old is a key man for the Ligue 1 side who have been cut adrift at the bottom of the French top flight with only two wins.

Coulibaly's side have struggled but his reputation remains intact due to his committed displays for a side destined for relegation.

Rangers are well stocked in the heart of their defence with Connor Goldson in line for a new deal at Ibrox.

Filip Helander has been a key man in recent seasons and Leon Balogun has earned an extra year in Glasgow after he activated a performance-based trigger in his contract.

Niko Katic is working his way back from a horror knee injury to further add to Steven Gerrard 's options ahead of their Champions League push.

Championship side Huddersfield Town are also said to be monitoring a player who has two years remaining on his current deal with Dijon.

Coulibaly is noted for his searing pace and was clocked at 22 mph last season during a match in Ligue 1.
