Senor Buscador emerged victorious in the Saudi Cup, the world's most expensive horse race held at King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The $20-million event saw the Todd Fincher-trained horse clinch the $10-million top prize in a thrilling finish.
Despite trailing behind the leading Saudi Crown for most of the race, Senor Buscador made a remarkable move in the final stretch, overtaking Ushba Tesoro to secure the win. The pace set by Saudi Crown proved to be a key factor in the race, as other top contenders like National Treasure and Derma Sotogake struggled to catch up.
The favorite, White Abarrio, failed to live up to expectations and finished in tenth place. In contrast, Senor Buscador, ridden by jockey Junior Alvarado, delivered a powerful surge in the last furlong, solidifying his status as a champion.

Trainer Todd Fincher expressed his elation at the unexpected victory, highlighting Senor Buscador's underappreciated talent. Looking ahead, Fincher mentioned the possibility of competing in Dubai, depending on the horse's recovery.
With career earnings now exceeding $11 million, Senor Buscador's triumph in the Saudi Cup has cemented his place among the elite in the world of horse racing. The race not only showcased his exceptional abilities but also underscored the unpredictable nature of the sport.
