Striker to miss Nottingham Forest clash as Bournemouth work to prevent coronavirus outbreak

Bournemouth will be without striker Joshua King against Nottingham Forest, but two other important players could return.

King tested positive for coronavirus after international duty with Norway and is now in a 10-day period of self isolation.

Full-back Adam Smith and midfielder Philip Billing were both left out of the win against Reading at the weekend having been in contact with King, although both have tested negative.

Manager Jason Tindall says the pair will be monitored as a precaution, initially suggesting they were highly unlikely to face the Reds.

"They were around Josh in between his negative test and his positive test so I just made the decision myself," Tindall told the Daily Echo.

"I felt it was best they stayed away for the next few days and we’ll assess them in a few days’ time to see how they are."

Tindall carried out his pre-match press duties on Monday, revealing Smith and Billing could face Forest after being assessed on Monday morning.

King has only played five times for Bournemouth this season having hoped to sign for a Premier League club after the Cherries' relegation last term.

Smith and Billing have been virtual ever presents in the side. No other members of Bournemouth's squad or staff tested positive for the virus.
