Senior figures at the likes of Siemens UK and HSBC are among five new board members to join the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership.
Siemens UK director Justin Kelly and HSBC UK's head of asset finance Miles Rothbury have taken on the roles alongside Vimla Appadoo, co-founder and director of culture design of Honey Badger, Marilyn Comrie, director at The Blair Project, and Steve Connor, chief executive of Creative Concern.
The GM LEP is the body that brings together senior figures from the business community, academia, Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham and other public sector leaders to set Greater Manchester’s strategic course and drive prosperity, economic growth and job creation in the city-region.
GMLEP chair Lou Cordwell said: "We’re delighted to welcome Vimla, Marilyn, Steve, Justin and Miles. Each will offer new ideas and fresh perspectives to our board, and I’m looking forward to working together as we look to implement our economic vision.
