A serving Met police officer has been charged with a string of voyeurism offences over three years.

Detective Inspector Neil Corbel, 40, is accused of 19 crimes across the UK.

Corbel, from the force’s continuous policing improvement command, was charged by postal charge requisition on August 11.

The alleged offences took place within the Greater London, Manchester and Brighton areas between January 2017 and February 2020.

Corbel was not on duty at the time, the Met said.

He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 13 and is currently suspended from duty.

The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed.
