Senior JOC official dies in suspected suicide
A Japanese Olympic Committee accounting manager died Monday after being hit by a train in Tokyo in a suspected suicide, investigative sources said.
The 52-year-old man was hit by a subway train on the Toei Asakusa Line at Nakanobu Station in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo.
The eight-car train was traveling between Nishi-Magome and Sengakuji stations.
The man was pronounced dead at the hospital where he was taken.
No suicide note has been found.
The Metropolitan Police Department's Ebara Police Station is investigating the incident, which is being treated as a suspected suicide.
