Senedd recalled from Christmas break to discuss post-Christmas Covid restrictions

Members of the Senedd are being recalled from their Christmas break to debate the new Covid restrictions being introduced on December 27.

Presiding Officer Elin Jones MS told Members of the Senedd they would meet to consider a "matter of urgent public importance". The Senedd will be recalled for a fully virtual ministerial statement at 1.30pm on Wednesday, December 22.

It comes after Welsh Government ministers met at 3pm today on Tuesday, December 21 to discuss post-Christmas restrictions on hospitality.

Mr Drakeford will update Wales on the outcome of today's meeting through a press conference on Wednesday, December 22 at 12.15pm.
