Wales needs a new Welsh Government with an ambitious plan to help Welsh firms, families and public services to bounce back from the pandemic. We cannot afford to be distracted by constitutional change, we need to focus on delivering a vaccination system that keeps us one step ahead of the virus so that we can protect lives, safeguard livelihoods, restore liberties and rebuild our economy.

What will you do for your constituency if elected?

Successive Welsh Labour-led Governments have had a blind spot when it comes to North Wales. Our councils have been underfunded and that’s affected investment in our schools, local roads and waste collection services. There has also been a failure to get to grips with problems in our NHS and a lack of investment in infrastructure, such as the A55 and flood defences. If re-elected, I’ll fight for a fair deal for North Wales and continue to work to resolve these issues.

I live in Kinmel Bay with my wife and two grown up children. I was brought up in Towyn and educated at Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan in Abergele, and Coleg Llandrillo in Rhos-on-Sea, before going onto a career in accountancy and the charitable sector. I got involved in politics in his teens and was a local councillor prior to being elected to the Senedd in 2007.

In the year 2000, at the age of 23, I became the youngest Mayor in Wales, serving the community of Towyn and Kinmel Bay. My childhood ambition to break a world record was realised in 2016 when I discovered the tallest crepis plant in the world while walking the dog with my son in Kinmel Bay.

I have been a passionate campaigner for local hospitals, schools and flood defences in his constituency and while in the Senedd have championed rights for older people and support for Wales’ armed forces community.
