Arsenal have confirmed that defender Philippe Senderos has joined AC Milan on a season-long loan. Senderos underwent a medical in Italy yesterday before the deal was completed today.
Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger was happy to see the Switzerland international leave on a temporary basis due to the large number of defenders in his squad, but the 23-year-old centre-back could return to the Emirates Stadium next season.
Senderos has endured mixed fortunes at Arsenal since joining them from Servette in December 2002 but was impressive against Milan in the Champions League last season.
