Send us your back to school photos as children return to lessons

Cheers, sighs of relief and the popping of Champagne corks can be heard up and down the country because Boris Johnson has said we can send the kids back to school at last.

Parents have been crossing off the days to March 8 - it's been a long and difficult year of homeschooling and online learning since we went into the first lockdown, with just a few months back at school in the latter half of 2020.

But now most of us will be jumping for joy that our little ones are heading back to the classroom, taught by qualified teachers and hanging out with friends in the playground.

And to celebrate the momentous occasion we want to create a souvenir photo supplement in the Bristol Post and we’ll also feature your photos on InYourArea.co.uk

Of course we're going to miss them dreadfully (ahem), but now it's time to dust off the backpacks, check the uniforms aren't three sizes too small and try to remember how to assemble a cheese and ham sandwich...

And don't forget to send us your back to school photos so we can all celebrate the big day together - click here to submit or fill in the form below.
