'Send him back' - Newcastle United fans lose faith with Chelsea loanee after Brighton display

It has been a season to forget for Chelsea man Kenedy - and his struggles continued during Newcastle United's 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion yesterday (Saturday).

The Brazilian failed to capitalise on a rare opportunity to make a difference for Newcastle United in the 1-1 draw with Brighton, drawing criticism from fans of the Magpies.

The on-loan Chelsea man was introduced on 33 minutes, replacing injured Ayoze Perez who had opened the scoring for the visitors at the Amex Stadium.

But Kenedy’s recent struggles continued as he was wasteful in possession and offered little of note as Rafa Benitez’s side surrendered their lead to Pascal Gross’ leveller.

The Brazilian, who hasn’t started a league game since Boxing Day, is reportedly valued at a whopping £30million by Chelsea but Newcastle supporters are not interested in a permanent deal.

The form he showed last season on loan at Newcastle has disappeared and he’s become a bit-part player, used only when the Magpies have injuries or suspensions elsewhere.

Vexed by the lack of impact he has made, fans let rip after the game, insisting that his time is up at the club as the end of the season approaches.
