Senate Fails To Adjourn, Two Motions Rejected

Argentine Senate debates Milei's necessity and urgency decree, in Buenos Aires

Two more efforts for the Senate to adjourn have failed. Republican Sen. John Kennedy proposed a motion to adjourn until May 1, which did not succeed on a party-line 49-51 vote. The Senate also voted against another motion to adjourn until November 6. GOP Sen. Roger Marshall argued it would have allowed the American people to have a vote on this issue.
