Sen. Chuck Schumer said coronavirus deal is ‘on the two (yard line)’ and everyone made a Seahawks joke

United States senators continues to work on negotiations for a stimulus package that would help the economy damaged by the coronavirus pandemic, and New York Sen. Chuck Schumer said on the floor that both Republicans and Democrats were at “the two-yard line.”

And because we all miss sports, or just the use of that phrase, everyone decided to make all the jokes about the Seattle Seahawks, who, as you’ll recall, once completely botched a play at the one-yard line during Super Bowl 49. Instead of handing the ball off to Marshawn Lynch, they had Russell Wilson throw a slant that was picked off by the Patriots’ Malcolm Butler.
