Selma Blair had 'total psychotic blackout' after being removed from flight on a stretcher

Selma Blair has said she had a “total psychotic blackout” when she was removed from a plane in June.

At the time, the Cruel Intentions actress said she mixed alcohol with medication during a flight from Mexico to Los Angeles, leading her pass out and “say and do things that I deeply regret”.

Blair, 44, was reportedly visibly distressed and had to be tended to by airline staff before being taken off the flight on a stretcher. She was travelling with her four-year-old son and husband at the time.

Speaking about the “horrible and frightening” incident on Wednesday, Blair told The Talk hosts she had taken an unspecified pill which reacted badly with a glass of wine.

“I am someone that should never drink and I rarely do and I don't drink anymore, but I did. I was going through something. I had a glass of wine, someone gave me a pill that I thought was something that I had taken before, which I don't take on a regular basis. It was something completely different.

“My son was with his father and he had slept through it. I knew he was going to sleep. He had headphones on and that's why I took this pill.”

Blair says she was then taken to a clinic for treatment and went home two hours later while being hounded by paparazzi. “I just thought, ‘Oh my god, what have I created?’ I felt horrible.”
