Christine Quinn has confirmed that Netflix smash hit Selling Sunset has been renewed for two more seasons as she revealed a rift with a co-star over a comment made about her being pregnant.
One of the most talked about shows on the streaming platform, Selling Sunset became THE programme to binge watch during lockdown, with its third season being watched by millions across the world in the autumn and the name on the lips of everyone who has seen it is Christine.
Her no nonsense, straight-shooting attitude and dramatic sense of style have made her the big breakout star of the American show and insiders even tipped her to ruffle some feathers over this side of the Atlantic on I'm A Celebrity last year.
Unfortunately that didn't happen but one thing that is certain is that Selling Sunset will be back as Christine appeared on This Morning with some big news on its future, as well as sharing her own pregnancy news.
Christine, who is six months pregnant with her first child, told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: "Selling Sunset has been renewed for not one, but two seasons. We're going to be filming very soon so I' so excited about that."
Phillip responded: "We love Selling Sunset because there are levels of occasional nastiness or rivalry..." to which Christine said: "Occasional?!"
Phillip continued: "I'm trying to be diplomatic here, because not every one of your fellow co-stars congratulated you. In fact, someone said on Instagram 'I hope motherhood makes her softer.'"
The comment was made by Heather Rae-Young in American publication US Weekly, with the full quote reading: "I'm thinking motherhood might soften her a little bit. ... I'm hoping it will."
Christine replied: "That's one of those comments that really hurt my feelings. I was really shocked to hear that from the press.
"It is what it is and I hate when people shelter themselves in the press; say those things to my face but they never will.
I was just really hurt and shocked and surprised. It's a huge milestone in my life, something that I'm so excited about. It was hurtful to read that."
Christine has taken aim at Heather and fellow Selling Sunset stars Chrishell Stause and Mary Fitzgerald for their lack of support on her pregnancy.
She posted a TikTok video of a screen recording that showed Chrishell, Heather and Mary's usernames being searched among the list of users who liked her pregnancy reveal.
As Chris Brown track Loyal played out in the background, none of their usernames turned up in the searches.
