Seller cheekily puts 'PS5' on sale for €55 on Ebay Ireland but it's not what it seems

An online seller has cheekily listed a PlayStation 5 on Ebay for just €55 - with the only catch being it's not a PS5 at all.

Gaming hopefuls who head to the retail website will find the cheeky product placed under the PS5 consoles section.

There are hundreds of items listed but this one at about a tenth of retail value piques interest.

However, a quick click into the link shows the buyer is in fact not selling a PS5 at all despite the heading on the item - they are instead selling a piece of paper.

And written on this piece of paper is: "Hi, please buy this note so I can make my 10-year-old son happy and buy a PS5 for Xmas.

"Thank you very much."

Unlike many online sellers, this person is up front that they have no intention of giving you the console you are looking for.

Instead this man, based in the UK, is actually looking for help in getting his own kid the coveted PS5.

In the small print it adds: "This is not an auction for a PS5 it is to gather any donations in this hard time to get my 10 year old son a Christmas present he is so intent on and which I cannot afford any donations are greatly appreciated thank you."

And one kind-hearted individual has already made a bid of around €55 to help the man out, while hopefully aware they aren't getting a PS5.
