- Two officers were responding to a call when their marked Ford Focus police car was involved in a collision with a VW Scirocco on the westbound A20 in Farningham about 7.45pm.
- A second police officer involved in the crash remains in a critical condition, and a member of the public from the other vehicle is also being treated for serious injuries.
- Kent Police praised PC Corke's bravery, saying he "selflessly gave up his life while trying to save the lives of others who were in danger."
- PC Corke joined the force in May 2022 and was based in Tonbridge; detectives are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage of the collision.
