Self-taught baker shares how to make dreamy red velvet cake in under two minutes

If you love cake but can't be bothered to wait while it's in the oven, then Eloise Head has the perfect recipe for you.

The self-taught baker has been sharing delicious treats on her Instagram account, Fit Waffle Kitchen with her 200,000 followers.

A recent post shows how you can make a red velvet mug cake in under two minutes - genius!

Eloise explained: "EASY RED VELVET MUG CAKE.

"If you hadn’t noticed, I’ve gone slightly red velvet crazy recently but this is by far the quickest red velvet recipe for when you want a little dessert.

"It’s filled with white chocolate chips and topped with cream cheese icing (optional but definitely recommended)."

She went on to share a list of the ingredients you'll need to make it yourself at home, including three tablespoons of milk, 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice, four tablespoons of sugar, 3/4 teaspoon of cocoa powder, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder one and a half tablespoons of vegetable oil, red food colouring and 30g of white chocolate chips.

The baker also recommended making a cream cheese icing topping, for which you'll need 40g cream cheese and 15g icing sugar mixed together.

Plus spare a little icing sugar for dusting on top.

In the video, she explained exactly how to make it, getting a mug and adding the ingredients step-by-step.

In a voice over, she said: "First up you need milk and lemon juice, whisk these together. Then add flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, vegetable oil and red food colouring and mix these all together until smooth.

"Add some white chocolate chips if you wish and mix these in, then microwave for about one minute and 10 seconds.

"Add your cream cheese icing sugar to the top if you wish then dust with icing sugar. That's it. Enjoy!"

Fellow Instagram users were really impressed with the recipe.

One person replied: "I wanna try this one."

Another said: "Oh my!"

A third added: "Need to try this!"
