Self-storage giant has opened its latest site in North Wales

A fast-growing Denbigh-based self-storage giant has opened its latest site – its 23rd across North and Mid Wales and the Border counties.

The new Lock Stock storage park at Pensarn, Abergele, already has over 30 units installed and will eventually hold 180 storage units with a total storage capacity of over 170,000 cubic feet.

It confirms Lock Stock as the UK’s biggest containerised self-storage company and gives them more than 3,000 units at their sites which extend from Holyhead on Anglesey along the North Wales coast from Caernarfon down to Shrewsbury and Newtown in Powys.

The Pensarn opening strengthens their presence on the coast and fills in a gap between their sites at Llandudno Junction and Rhyl.

Lock Stock Site Manager Lee Hanson said: “This is a perfect spot for us with easy access to the A55 which is just yards away and passing traffic can actually see our signage from the Expressway.

“We are installing 10ft and 20ft containers on the site and they are being snapped up – there’s a really high demand.

“Much of that is probably being driven by the property market which is very busy but we are also getting plenty of enquiries from small businesses as well.”
