Selena Gomez has revealed the surprising start of her enduring friendship with Taylor Swift, and it all began with the Jonas Brothers. Speaking on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, Gomez said: 'Taylor and I dated the Jonas Brothers. I dated Nick and she dated Joe. The best thing we got out of those relationships was each other.'
At the time, Selena was 15 and Taylor was 18, both navigating the ups and downs of young love in the public eye. 'It was cute, we were young... we didn't know what we were doing,' she recalled. Their connection formed after their brief relationships with Nick and Joe Jonas. 'We bonded over the breakup, as girls do,' Gomez added. That shared experience sparked a friendship that has now lasted more than 16 years.

Taylor even played her hit song Love Story for Selena before it was released. 'I remember it vividly... it was one of the most beautiful songs I'd ever heard,' she said.
