Selena Gomez's kind gesture to Britney Spears amid her conservatorship drama

Britney Spears is going through her tough conservative battle but she has told how a gift from Selena Gomez brightened up her day.

In a heartwarming Instagram post, Britney shared a snap of a bundle of gifts that former child-star Selena had given her including a tie-dye bikini.

The offering also showed three products from Selena's brand Rare Beauty which Britney excitedly told was her "favourite".

Britney thanked Selena for the gifts as she praised the products.

She wrote alongside her post: “Ok guys ... great news!!! When I woke up I got a very cool box with a bikini in it and my favourite three make-up products from @SelenaGomez!!!! [sic].

"Her shimmers are really fun and her spritz for your face before makeup is bomb and smells very good !!!! Selena .... Thank you for surprising me with this gift … I’ve been looking for shimmers!!!!!!."

Selena then posted a sweet response in the comment section.

She wrote: "This makes me so happy! I hope you enjoy it- love you so much."

The heartwarming exchange between the pair comes just a few months after Selena shared a sweet clip of her singing along to Britney as a child in the 90s.

This week, Britney's new lawyer vowed to move quickly and "aggressively" to end her dad's role in the conservatorship that has ruled her life for over a decade.

The singer's attorney, Mathew Rosengart, spoke outside of the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon and said: "My firm and I are moving aggressively and expeditiously to file a petition to remove Jamie Spears unless he resigns first."

Rosengart, who was granted the ability to represent the 39-year-old last week, also thanked Britney "for her courage and strength" and her fans for their support.

His comments were met by cheers from an onlooking group of the singer's followers who had gathered outside once again with Free Britney signs.

The hearing, which was adjourned until Monday next week, was expected to include arguments over a money dispute between Britney's legal personal guardian, Jodi Montgomery, and the singer’s dad Jamie Spears.

Montgomery was set to ask the judge to charge the conservatorship for her extra security after she had received death threats since Britney took to the stand via an audio link in June.

She said that the fees required were approximately £1,300 ($1,800) each day.

Rosengart's words come shortly after Britney was spotted with what appeared to be a ring on her engagement finger.

It sparked rumours that she'd got engaged to Sam Asghari, who she has been dating since 2016, despite the fact she claimed the conservatorship had banned her from marriage.
