Selena Gomez became a meme reacting at the MTV VMAs and wasn’t happy about it

I completely understand what Selena Gomez is miffed about.

You go to an awards show like the MTV VMAs, try to enjoy it as a fan like anyone, and then the audience camera is on you like 90 percent of the time, so anything you do will become a meme.

Having said that, Gomez’s reactions from the 2023 VMAs were absolutely meme-worthy, including the face she made when Chris Brown was nominated. It’s another one to add to the collection of meme faces, like her reaction to Lionel Messi nearly scoring.

But Gomez posted on Instagram that she’d “rather sit still than be dragged for being myself.”
