Leeds United’s difficult festive period of fixtures continues this evening as they make the trip to face Manchester City.
The Whites will be looking to bounce back from the frustration of their last gasp defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, when Jorginho’s stoppage time penalty denied them a well-deserved point.
Meanwhile, opponents Manchester City can make it seven Premier League wins in a row when they host Marcelo Bielsa’s side this evening.
Their fine recent run of form has propelled them to the top of the division as they look to retain their crown as champions.
Leeds will be hoping for a repeat of last season’s result at the Etihad Stadium, when Stuart Dallas’ added time winner earned the 10 men of the Whites a 2-1 victory.
Bielsa’s squad is set to have another extremely youthful feel to it this evening, with none of the crop of six injured players fit enough to return.
Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper and Patrick Bamford are all still recovering from hamstring injuries, while Rodrigo Moreno is nursing a heel issue.
Pascal Struijk will also miss his third match in a row after picking up a foot injury in training on Friday. Robin Koch remains absent, too.
Bielsa could go with an unchanged XI from the one that played so well at Stamford Bridge; however, Joe Gelhardt will be pushing for a start after coming off the bench to score his first Leeds goal on Saturday.
Charlie Cresswell and Mateusz Klich are two players who will also be hopeful of a start.
