Goals in either half from Demarai Gray and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were enough to hand Everton a 2-0 win over Brighton.
After coming under plenty of pressure in the opening 30 minutes, the Blues grew into the game and took the lead through Gray four minutes before the interval.
Everton then doubled their lead through Calvert-Lewin’s penalty 13 minutes into the second half after Seamus Coleman was brought down inside the box.
This was Everton's first win at Brighton since April 1983 moves them up to second place ahead of Liverpool's clash with Chelsea on Saturday evening.
