Sei Young Kim edged out Lexi Thompson by 2 shots to win the LPGA Marathon Classic at Sylvania, Ohio, Sunday.
Marathon Classic began the final round with a 1-shot lead and fired off straight bridies to build what proved to be an insurmountable lead at Highland Meadows.
The South Korean Kim, 26, rolled from there to card 6-under-par 65 Sunday and clinch her ninth LPGA Tour victory by finishing at 22-under par 262.
Thompson make it close at the end with a final-round 66, punctuated by an eagle on the final hole of the tournament to finish alone in second place at 20 under.
Korean players have now won nine LPGA tournaments this year.
