Seer's death: Akhikesh Yadav demands probe by sitting high court judge

PRAYAGRAJ: Samajwadi Party national president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday demanded a probe by a sitting high court judge into the mysterious death of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP) Mahant Narendra Giri.

He said that it’s a matter of thorough investigation as to what had exactly happened to the president of ABAP Narendra Giri.

He added not only countrymen, saints and seers also wanted to know as to why such incident had occurred and the circumstances behind it.

He said that a fair and impartial probe would clear the picture.

The former CM had arrived on Tuesday to pay last respects to ABAP president, Narendra Giri at Shri Math Baghambari Gaddi, Allahapur.

He said that Samajwadi Party and seers and seers want the probe to be conducted by a sitting judge and truth would come out.

Yadav also said that It was heard that Giri was planning to meet senior officials and ministers for the past many days and Giri might be in severe depression.

Giri was found dead inside a room at the campus of Shri Math Baghambari Gaddi, Allahapur on Monday.

Meanwhile, SP district spokesman Daan Bahadur said that the death of Mahant Narendra Giri has become a mystery and no proper reason for his death has been ascertained till now.
