Seeing stars: Ganni announces astrology themed capsule collection

Now that mercury is safely out of retrograde, Ganni has announced its new astrology themed capsule.

The super cool Danish brand has risen through the Instagram ranks to become one of the most in-demand labels of the past year. A long-time favourite of fashion influencers, the Copenhagen fashion house did the rounds at Coachella last week, with Kendell and Kylie Jenner and Gigi Hadid all donning items from the brand's tie dye collection.

Due to launch on April 30, the capsule, named Sun, Moon & You, combines three bold prints, to represent the celestial and the everyday. Several pieces are fashioned out of a periwinkle blue fabric sprinkled with stars and solar systems and one tea-dress combines this new print with Ganni’s signature bold leopard print.

The 13-piece capsule also features reimagined classics including Ganni’s signature baby doll dress in a red gingham print and a tiered sun dress in the new print.

Ganni’s Creative Director, Ditte Reffstrup, said: “I’ve always loved the mystery of astrology and the idea that everything in the universe is connected to the stars, the moon and the stars. We used this as our inspiration."

The Scandinavian brand has made an art out of harnessing the cultural zeitgeist in its new collections - drawing on cowboy style last season with the now-cult cow boy boots and puffy-sleeved milk-maid chic last summer. Astrology is very much in the millennial consciousness, and Ganni's new collection is sure to be a similarly starry success.

The capsule launches on matches.com on April 30.
