'See you soon' - Liverpool star Thiago Alcantara sends Bayern Munich message

Thiago Alcantara has congratulated Bayern Munich after they made history by winning the Club World Cup.

The Bundesliga giants became just the second team in history to win all six domestic and international titles consecutively, Thiago playing a part in winning the league title, Champions League and German Cup before joining Liverpool in the summer.

The midfield star praised the work his former team-mates put in to go out and win six trophies before highlighting their "unique quality in football".

He said in a video message posted to the club's Twitter page: "Hi guys, congratulations for the sixth trophy.

"It's well deserved and I'm the first that can say that you worked a lot.

"You have a quality that is unique some decades in football.

"Enjoy the moment, enjoy the season and I hope to see you soon.

"I am proud to be part of, even if it's just a little bit, what you achieved this season."

Bayern faced Mexican outfit Tigres in the Club World Cup final but ultimately dominated play and ran out 1-0 victors, thanks to Benjamin Pavard's goal.
