'See where it goes' Nottingham Forest transfer target speaks about future

Nottingham Forest transfer target Sam McCallum has discussed his future.

The Coventry City defender was linked with a move to the City Ground in September , with Aston Villa, Leeds United, Huddersfield Town and West Bromwich Albion also said to be interested in the 19-year-old as well as the Reds .

Sky Blues boss Mark Robins has brushed off speculation linking the left-back away from the club, previously saying it would take a monumental bid to tempt his side to sell up .

The Canterbury-born ace started for the first time in four matches on Sunday in the 1-0 defeat to Tranmere Rovers, although he hobbled off with an injury 13 minutes from time.

That was his fifth League start of the season, McCallum appearing in two Carabao Cup matches earlier this season.

He is aiming for the top but isn't getting to ahead of himself just yet.

“Playing in the Premier League is obviously still a dream,” he told Kent Online.

“If I went all the way it’d be so big for me because I’m one of those millions of kids who have wanted it.

“But at the moment I’m focusing on trying to get the starting position at Coventry and then see where it goes from there.

“I’m definitely living the dream.”
