See the adorable newborn lambs at Ouseburn Farm in Newcastle - and this is how you can visit them this Easter

Newcastle's Ouseburn Farm has welcomed a flock of adorable newborn lambs which are set to put smiles on the faces of visitors this Easter.

The popular urban farm is now home to 10 little lambs from Northumberland and youngsters will be able to come along to feed or pet them during the Easter holidays. But anyone wanting to meet the cute new arrivals will have to book a slot quickly as they are filling up fast with families looking for their dose of cuteness this spring.

However, more newborn lambs are on their way as four of Ouseburn Farm's ewes are due to give birth in the coming days, with as many as 10 lambs expected. Farm manager Hugh Stolliday was delighted to welcome the lambs to the farm and believes they will be a big draw for visitors.

"We currently have 10 pet lambs who have come from a farm in Northumberland and we will be hand-rearing them over the next few weeks," he said.

"These are lambs who may not have been accepted by the mother, or whose mother may have died. We are bottle feeding them and hand-rearing them.

"One of the Easter activities at Ouseburn Farm is that people have booked to come and feed the lambs. They need feeding five times a day. Their first feed is at about 6am, then at 9.30am, another one at lunchtime, the afternoon, and the evening.

"It is not dissimilar to having a baby! They do need a lot of attention for the first few weeks.

"We also have four ewes here who are pregnant and we are expecting them to give birth in the next few days, so we could potentially have another 10 lambs born here on the farm."

However, anyone who is unable to come along won't miss out, as Ouseburn Farm has launched its 'LambCam' on Facebook - a daily live stream on that will give people a chance to have a 'behind the scenes' look into the lives of the newborn lambs. It comes after the first LambCam live stream was such a hit when it was first launched during lockdown in 2021, attracting more than 37,000 views.

Stef Anderson, fundraising and communications lead at Ouseburn Farm said “This time last year, we were still living under Covid restrictions, and LambCam was a great way to bring the farm into peoples’ homes. This year, we have a full programme of Easter events, but we wanted to offer LambCam again as there was such as positive response to last year’s livestream.”
