See Sunderland Airshow action as three-day event wraps up on Sunday

It might have dogged by bad weather but Sunderland Airshow was determined to bow out in style on Sunday with a last day of aerial action.

And spectators who braved the less than ideal conditions were treated to some dramatic sights - as well as plenty entertainment on the ground too.

The annual event , which launched on Friday night, was forced to curtail some of its programme on Saturday due to cloud - and spectators had to contend with rain too.

But crowds turned out again on Sunday to enjoy the show from the Seaburn and Roker seafronts and it didn't disappoint.

Entertainment, music and family attractions all added to the occasion.
