A new glamping experience set to open in Northumberland is going all-out to create memorable holidays for visitors with added extras including some wooly attractions at its Wooler site.
Cheviot Glamping will be launching early summer with a luxury set-up of bell tents and stylish pods in a bid to create the ultimate countryside staycation for those looking for a blast of fresh air and a much-needed escape after months of stifling lockdown.
The small site at Slainsfield, near Wooler, is in an ideal position for exploring north Northumberland and, as further temptations for visitors, it is right next to the Cheviot Brewery and tap bar - and has three resident alpacas.
Furry friends Hops, Malt and Porter, collectively known as the Cheviot Alpacas, have moved into a paddock on the campsite and from their new home they will be on hand to meet guests and offer relaxing 'alpaca experiences'.
Cheviot Glamping is getting ready to open in late May to early June and the luxury camping experience will offer visitors a choice of bell tents with double beds - described as being perfect for a romantic getaway - or bespoke glamping pods.
There is also some self-catering accommodation, including single sleepers.
The on-site tap bar - which will be serving up a range of ales on cask from its own Cheviot Brewery as well as other locally-produced drinks - has a large outdoor area with a pergola, a pizza oven and a fire pit.
Each of Cheviot Glamping's six bell tents has a double bed - but there is an option to sleep up to four people - while the two pods feature a double bunk, en-suite shower room and kitchenette.
They can accommodate four visitors, catering for families.
There is also a shop; a separate area for toilets and showers and a communal kitchen. The site is dog-friendly too, with dog beds being available on request
