See it: Titans’ Derrick Henry works out in parking lot with gym closed

The coronavirus outbreak that seems to be closing down all aspects of life isn’t stopping Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry from keeping in shape.

With his gym closed, Henry has taken his workouts to the parking lot.

Now that’s dedication!

Henry, who is seeking a long-term deal this offseason, was recently franchise tagged by the Titans, which will pay him $10.2 million in 2020 if he plays the entire season on the tag.

However, the Titans have until July 15 to work out a long-term deal with the Alabama product. After that, he will officially have to play on the franchise tag if no contract is signed.

The argument against paying running backs big money got more ammunition on Thursday, as the Los Angeles Rams cut running back Todd Gurley less than two years after signing him to a four-year, $60 million deal.

That could add more fuel to the fire that the Titans won’t budge on the kind of deal Henry is seeking.
