Who says the New York Giants lost their explosive vertical threat following the trade of wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.? Certainly not running back Saquon Barkley, who was there to remind everyone on Sunday morning that he’s got some freakish athleticism in him, too.
Matched up against safety Michael Thomas on the outside, Barkley took off down the sideline as quarterback Eli Manning uncorked a bomb that the 2018 NFL AP Offensive Rookie of the Year was able to run underneath.
After regaining his balance, Barkley kept his feet in bounds and took off down the field, crossing the goal line for a 60-plus-yard touchdown.
