See it: Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins works out in Giants gear

Around this time last year, Penn State running back Saquon Barkley was spotted rocking New York Giants gear following a pre-draft visit with the team.

Shortly thereafter, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was on the stage reading off Barkley’s name as the newest member of Big Blue.

Might Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins be looking to follow a similar path?

Fresh off his two-day visit with the Giants in East Rutherford, Haskins was spotted working out in official team gear, which he appeared to do proudly and shamelessly.

Haskins has repeatedly let it be known that he grew up a Giants fan and dominated by using them in earlier “Madden” games.

“It would be pretty nice [to play for the Giants],” Haskins told the New York Post. “I played ‘Madden’ a lot, and [Tiki Barber] was really good running the football. The whole offense was nice. Plaxico [Burress], Jeremy Shockey, Eli [Manning], Ahmad Bradshaw. I was basically the stats guy from my family. I would know everybody’s height and weight, what college they went to.

“I’ve been a Giants fan for a long time.”

Haskins has also stated he’d be willing to play and learn behind the “legend,” Eli Manning, whom he feels will end up in the Hall of Fame someday.

Widely expected to be a top 10 pick initially, Haskins’ draft stock has taken a hit of late. He’s fallen in most mock drafts and revealed earlier this week that he will not be attending the 2019 NFL Draft.

At what point Haskins eventually comes off the board remains to be seen, but so long as they’re determined to find a quarterback, he remains in play for the Giants.
