With NFL facilities and public gyms on lock-down due to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s become somewhat of a challenge for NFL athletes to keep up with their workout regimen.
Some have resorted to primitive methods to stay in shape, but for New York Giants linebacker Blake Martinez, all he’s had to do is walk downstairs.
On Wednesday, Martinez shared a video (via Giants Twitter) that toured his absolutely insane home gym, which features everything from heavy equipment to a basketball court to an actually scaled-down football field.
“We started this project last year. We built a facility that has a living area, it has a weight room, turf field and it has a basketball court. Me and my dad made this project together. It was weirdly at a perfect time because we have to be quarantined. So I’m basically quarantined in a weight room. It’s been awesome for me. The picture was taken in the weight room part of the facility,” Martinez said during a conference call on Monday.”
It’s an amazing facility and one that will ensure Martinez arrives to East Rutherford in tip-top shape when doors once again open across the country.
