See it: Eli, Peyton Manning drain matching puts at Pebble Beach

Retired New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning and his brother, retired NFL legend Peyton Manning, have thoroughly enjoyed their post-football life this week, competing at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

On Saturday, the Manning’s kicked their sibling rivalry into high gear, draining matching puts from long distance much to the delight of the crowd.

Check it out:

“It’s been a lot of fun,” Eli said, via the New York Post. “A couple of good holes where Peyton and I birdied the same hole and had the crowd going. So, it’s a little nerve wracking, a little bit.

“I like it better with football. I feel like I know what I’m doing when I throw a football. I kind of going in the general direction of where I’m throwing. It’s not always like that in golf.”

There has, of course, been a little side action between the brothers, but predominately, they’re just having a good time and enjoy life after football.

“It’s been great being with Eli,” Peyton said. “The fans, like Eli said, have been great. The weather has been incredible.

“We kind of try help each other. That’s kind of been our relationship throughout our football careers is to try to help each other. I know how nervous I am up there in front of those crowds. I know how he’s feeling. So, w’re trying to have each other’s backs out here.”

In the end, Peyton got the last laugh as he and his partner, Luke Donald, made the cut at 20-under, which was tied for 10th. Eli and his partner, Kevin Chappell, finished at 16-under and failed to make the cut by two strokes.
