See it: Bengals make Joe Burrow his NCAA Football video game cover

Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals wanted to be on the cover of the NCAA football video game.

That wasn’t possible given the popular game’s hiatus, so fans can probably imagine their quarterback’s reaction when EA Sports announced Tuesday that the series would soon make its long-awaited return.

Burrow wasn’t too happy the series was coming back after he had already gone pro.

But the Bengals had Burrow’s back.

Cincinnati’s social media team put together a mock of what Burrow’s college football video game cover might have looked like, fitted out with some of his most cherished moments while wearing the LSU jersey:

Maybe by the time the game makes its official return, those in charge will put some of the sport’s dominant athletes from the last few years on the cover together — or do special-edition covers.

For now, Burrow will have to settle for the excellent mockup his team made in response to the big news.
