See it: Andrew Luck’s locker cleaned out

The end of an era is official. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is entering retirement, and his locker has already been cleaned out at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Following a bizarre weekend in which Luck shockingly announced his retirement from football, the 29-year-old was placed on the reserve/retired list on Sunday.

Signifying that change, Luck’s locker has been cleaned out next to left tackle Anthony Castonzo’s. Take a look:

It’s sad to see the end of an era, but the Colts have come out in full support of Luck’s decision. After dealing with years of injuries ranging from a lacerated kidney to a torn labrum and now a mysterious ankle/calf injury, it took a toll mentally on the 29-year-old.

The Colts will be preparing for the preseason finale Thursday and the regular-season opener on Sept. 8 but will be doing so with an empty locker that used to belong to Luck.
