See how Goran Dragic broke the news that he’s staying with the Heat

Free agent guard Goran Dragic didn’t spend an extra minute testing the waters in free agency after a run to the NBA Finals with the Miami Heat. At 6:01 p.m., just a minute into the NBA’s 2020 free agency period, the 34-year-old veteran posted a video on Twitter to break the news that he’s staying with the Heat to “finish the job we started.”

Dragic is entering his sixth full season with the Heat, after arriving from the Suns during the 2014-15 season. An All-Star in 2018, Dragic was a crucial bench contributor throughout the regular season, and was the Heat’s second-leading scorer in the playoffs after being reinserted into the starting lineup. According to Shams Charania, Dragic’s deal is worth $37.4 million over two years, with a team option for the second year per reports.
