See Felix Hernandez’s emotional walk off the mound for the Mariners

For the 419th and, perhaps, final time in Felix Hernandez’s storied career, the starting pitcher who started out as a 19-year-old phenom — remember when that happened and the buzz around it in 2005? — he walked off the mound as a Seattle Mariner.

And there were tears from everyone, including — it appeared — Hernandez himself.

The 33-year-old’s contract is up after this year, and King Felix isn’t the reliable starter he once was, so it appears he and the Mariners will part ways and perhaps Hernandez will find a place where he can get a fresh start and contribute as a back-end starter.

So here’s the moment he walked off. Goosebumps.
