See drone footage as finishing touches are made to the new Stack in Seaburn

Drone footage shows workers putting the final touches to the Stack, Seaburn, ahead of the launch on Bank Holiday weekend.

Stack is set to open its doors on on August 28. The leisure venue recently announced that it's commercial units are almost full with the majority of traders from Sunderland based businesses.

The footage of the finishing touches being put in place was filmed by Davy Robson of the new Stack.

Local favourites Downey’s Fish & Chips and Healthy Thaim, as well as businesses that are new to the city, like Acropolis, a Greek street food operator that has ‘popped up’ at events in Sunderland in the past.

Lee Roberts from Longhorns BBQ, who also has a restaurant in Newcastle, has also signed on the dotted line to take space in STACK, bringing his smokehouse offerings to Sunderland.

He said: “Sunderland is my city and I love the seaside. I’ve been watching STACK for a while and have seen how well they’ve done in Newcastle.

"I think Sunderland will be just as good. I’m really looking forward to bringing Longhorns, and the BBQ food we’re famous for to Seaburn.

“I think our offer will fit really well with STACK Seaburn. Nice, easy, meaty dishes that will team perfectly with the beers and IPAs on offer in the venue. We’re looking forward to a busy opening.”

Stacks units are built from shipping containers that are assembled to make an enclosed village that can operate in all weather conditions, offering an exciting new destination for socialising and events.
