The latest remake of Charlie’s Angels, directed by Elizabeth Banks, hits theaters next week, and in addition to a star-studded cast, the film features sports cameos from Danica Patrick and Ronda Rousey.
The retired race car driver and wrestler shared photos on their respective Instagram accounts Wednesday announcing their roles in the film, and they are also included in a teaser trailer shared by the official Charlie’s Angels Instagram account.
Unsurprisingly, it looks like the two professional athletes have roles on camera similar to what they do in real life. Rousey appears to be teaching some mixed martial arts skills, while Patrick, we assume, is behind the wheel, perhaps both giving lessons to wannabe Angels.
Patrick wrote in her caption:
Good morning, Charlie! 😇
The secret is out, I’m an angel!!! 🤣
Go see @charliesangels in theaters starting November 15th!
Rousey wrote:
Good Morning, Charlie! 😇 Earning my wings on 11.15. #CharliesAngels @charliesangels
This is far from the first acting opportunity for each of them. Patrick has appeared in music videos for Jay-Z and Maroon 5, done some voice acting and, when she hosted the ESPYS in 2018, she acted in some short skits. Rousey has been in movies like Furious 7 and Entourage, and she hosted Saturday Night Live in 2016.
