See Chase Elliott’s giant NASCAR championship ring and a 24-karat gold replica of his car

Chase Elliott won his way into the NASCAR Cup Series championship race last season, and by winning the 2020 season finale at Phoenix Raceway, the No. 9 Chevrolet driver claimed his first title and became the third-youngest champion just a couple weeks before his 25th birthday in November.

And he’s got some incredible hardware to show for it.

Less than two weeks out from the start of the 2021 season, Elliott received his championship ring and a 24-karat gold car Monday while at the the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame in Dawsonville, Elliott’s hometown. And, according to Hendrick Motorsports, the state of Georgia declared February 9, 2021 Chase Elliott Day.

But back to the diamonds and gold.

The giant ring features a super mini version of the Cup Series trophy — officially known as the Bill France Cup — on top of it, and the Goodyear gold car is actually a 1/12-scale replica of the Hendrick Motorsports driver’s championship car.

Per NASCAR, the gold car has been a tradition for champs since 1985.

With Chase’s first championship, he and Bill Elliott — also known as Awesome Bill from Dawsonville — became the third father-son duo to be NASCAR champs, joining Lee and Richard Petty and Ned and Dale Jarrett in that exclusive club.

The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season begins Sunday, February 14 with the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.
