See busker spark impromptu rave after This is Tomorrow festival in Newcastle

This is the incredible moment a busker starts an impromptu rave with revellers leaving the This is Tomorrow festival in Newcastle.

Footage shared online shows hundreds crowd around the drummer, singing and dancing in an underpass near Exhibition Park on Saturday night.

The busker - who has been identified on social media as Joey Swindells - starts the video by setting a beat inviting the crowd to chant back at him.

Following this, he starts to up the tempo and generates a carnival-like atmosphere in seconds.

Revellers start jumping and the video shows a mixture of clapping and singing. Others in the underpass can be seen filming the impromptu rave on their mobile phones.

The busker then starts a slow drum beat and stands to receive the crowd's applause.

He then loudly resumes the beat to get the crowd moving once again.

The video was posted on Facebook by Jack Anderson to give the busker "the props he deserves".

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Lewis Capaldi and the Stereophonics were among the acts to perform at the This is Tomorrow festival .

The festival took over Exhibition Park and the Town Moor for three days from Friday.
