The full line-up - headlined by Billy Bragg - has now been announced for this summer's Folk on the Tyne Festival and music lovers are in for a treat.
Big name Bragg - renowned singer-songwriter known for his political protest songs - will no doubt have plenty material to show off when he sets the mood of the July 27 shindig at Sage Gateshead.
And the host venue has now released full details of its packed day-long programme of folk gigs; workshops; free performances and concourse family activities ahead of tickets going on sale this Friday, April 26.
Chart-topper Bragg, who last year received the Ivor Novello Award for outstanding contribution to British music, will perform in the Sage One concert hall at 7.30pm, with support from Holly Clarke and The Reivers.
Clarke has been a fixture of the local folk scene ever since studying folk and traditional music at Newcastle University.
Sage Two meanwhile will be turned into an intimate acoustic space with artists performing 'in the round' in gigs presented by Hudson Records which have worked with the likes of Bellowhead and Seth Lakeman.
The afternoon headline act has been confirmed as Karine Polwart - a six-times winner ofthe BBC Radio 2 Folk Award - and also on the play-list are Hannah Read, Jack Rutter and M G Boulter.
Among those taking to the spotlight in the evening will be The Furrow Collective; Syrian musician Maya Youssef; Brìghde Chaimbeul and New Rope String Band's Jock Tyldesley and Vera van Heeringen.
In the run-up to the main programme, past and present members of the Folkworks Summer School will form a big band for a morning launch and there will be all-day taster music and dance workshops and free activities.
